With the coming of significant investments—Sound Transit’s bus rapid transit (BRT) and a park-and-ride structure in the vicinity of the Town Center—the community in Lake Forest Park has an amazing, once in a lifetime opportunity to help shape the long-term vision for the heart of the City. This vision will be captured in a new “Central Subarea Plan.” The Plan will serve as a framework to help the City Council develop policies regarding land use, zoning, and connections within the Central Subarea and will include:
- Development economics analysis,
- Integration of a transit station into the subarea, and
- Robust community-wide visioning about best opportunities.
Council Workshop Feedback Discussion
October 23, 2017 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
City of Lake Forest Park City Hall, 17425 Ballinger Way NE, Lake Forest Park, WA 98155, USA
The Mayor and City Council of Lake Forest Park are very grateful to all of the residents who attended the Public Workshop on October 11 at City Hall. This was the largest attendance anyone can remember at a City meeting, and demonstrates the high level of interest in the future of our Town Center and surrounding neighborhoods.
We received and recorded a large amount of public input at the meeting, and we are working to compile that feedback as quickly as possible.
The Council will discuss this feedback at its meeting on Monday, October 23, at 6 p.m., and encourages the public to attend.
This is the beginning of a process that will include multiple additional opportunities for public input on the future of the Town Center. Please watch this site for announcements of additional meetings, but feel free to send your comments, questions, or concerns at any time to: firstname.lastname@example.org
